I am currently an Assistant Professor at Western Washington University and a recent graduate from the Department of Political Science at the University of Washington in Seattle. My interests broadly include American politics, race and ethnic politics and methodology. My research has a general focus in American politics and history, and an emphasis in political behavior and attitudes. More specifically, my research examines ideological predispositions, alienation, political allegiance and support. My dissertation project examines right-wing extremism and the politics of the Far Right, both historically and contemporaneously.
At the University of Washington, I was a fellow for the Washington Institute for the Study of Ethnicity, Race and Sexuality (WISER) at the University of Washington, as well as a Ford Dissertation Fellow and a Ronald E. McNair Graduate Fellow.
